String technique session

In June Peter will lead the first of his new sessions focussing on string playing technique.  These sessions, an afternoon in length, are for amateur players of all stringed orchestral instruments (violin, viola, 'cello, double bass). 

The sessions will be for small groups, thus allowing personal advice and assistance to be given.  Some work will be done en masse and some will involve individual coaching (but players won't be asked to play by themselves to the whole group!).  

Emphasis will be on fundamental techniques (which are highly relevant whatever a player's skill level), with more advanced techniques being introduced as apropriate to the individual.
