Mahler's Resurrection

Gustac Mahler

Peter is delighted that he will be conducting Mahler's mamoth second symphony for the second time in September.  Nicknamed 'Resurrection' this is possibly the most popular of Mahler's symphonies.  It certainly contains a vast array of music - from distant horns and hushed choral singing to the huge swelling volume of a full orchestra and choir (plus one of the greatest ever percussion crescendos!).  It is a piece which leaves and indelible mark on the listener.  With soprano Zoe South and mezzo-soprano Anna Loveday, and the Philharmonia Britannica orchestra and chorus this will be one very special evening!
